Unlike most of the throw away electronic items in our homes these days, the mechanism inside a piano has remained largely unchanged for the past 100 years. Aside from the use of modern plastics and glues, the wooden components that make up the piano 'Action' and 'Keyboard' are much the same as they were when pianos first underwent a technical overhaul in the 1920's. Because of this, older style pianos often provide a fantastic foundation for restoration. In fact, most older style pianos were originally hand made and are generally manufactured from far more superior materials than most modern day mass produced pianos. Over many years in the piano industry, we have built a reputation as having one of the leading piano restoration workshops not only in South Australia but throughout Australia. We recently featured on the cover page of the Eastern Courier Messenger and in the Adelaide Advertiser for our restoration of an extremely rare 1896 Steinway Upright Verti-grand for a customer in Melbourne.
We offer free, no obligation quotes across the Adelaide metropolitan area or over email from customers interstate.
