This 1988 model 'Yamaha M108' Upright piano was manufactured in Japan during the golden era of Yamaha pianos. The dark walnut cabinet is in immaculate, as new condition, as is the keyboard and internal structure and mechanism. The piano plays like a U1 size piano but without the large volume.
The piano was previously owned by a family in Mile End who purchased it new, locally from Winston Music. The piano is a true ‘1 owner’ and comes with full service history and original proof of purchase and book work. Mobile Piano Service has tuned and maintained the piano for the previous owners for many years, so we can verify that it has been well cared for and maintained. The piano was used to teach 3 girls to play over a period of 15 years and was traded in because the family wished to upgrade to a grand piano.
Since receiving the piano, we have completely disassembled it, conducted a full interior and exterior clean and detail, full tuning to concert pitch, full service and full regulation. The keyboard has been tightened and levelled and the touch evened up to ensure a smooth playing experience.
The piano has a lovely mellow tone and string bass, typical of a Yamaha from this era. It also has a third practise pedal that locks down to mute the sound, allowing night time playing without disturbing others.
This model is still being manufactured today, now in Indonesia, and the RRP is $4,995, therefore this piano represents excellent value for money at this price point.
Included in the price is professional insured delivery and installation, matching piano bench, 12 year warranty system and post-delivery tuning. We also offer ongoing maintenance and tuning services.
Due to the easy saleability of these pianos we would offer a guaranteed written buy back for the piano.
Country and interstate enquiries welcome and encouraged, delivery & tuning packages interstate easily arranged.
